Castlerigg...a most excellent stone circle. It's big and made of quite big stones. Moreover, it's unique in having an inner rectangular structure. Also features cup and spiral markings (very hard to spot) and an entrance.
Castlerigg, one of the best circles i have ever been to, spent a magikal summer solstice there one year. Have you been to Long Meg? I felt so much peace there. The climbing thing scares me so much, always reminds me of seeing cave divers in Hodge Close,Cumbria. I am scared just looking at that place
